We know it’s tough out there so New Lives have partnered with Kaimai Vets Matamata and Kaimai Vets Te Aroha to offer subsidised dog desexing for people living in the Hauraki and Matamata-Piako district council boundaries.
You contribute $110 towards having your dog desexed, microchipped and registered on the New Zealand Companion Animal Register, and we’ll take care of the rest of the bill!
To be eligible, you need to live in one of the following district council boundaries: Hauraki (e.g. Paeroa, Ngatea, and Te Aroha) or Matamata-Piako (e.g. Matamata and Morrinsville).
Your dog can be desexed at either Kaimai Vets Matamata or Kaimai Vets Te Aroha.
You'll need to contribute $110 per dog, and payment is up front when you grab yourself a voucher. The voucher covers desexing, microchip implantation, and registration on the New Zealand Companion Animal Register.
This is a high trust model with no requirement to show a community services card but we do expect people to only purchase vouchers if they truly need them. Funding is limited so if you are able to afford to have your dog desexed without a hand up, please leave the vouchers for those who are genuinely struggling.
If you are having issues purchasing a voucher, please email desexing@newlivesrescue.co.nz for help.
If a 'Buy A Voucher' button appears after answering the questions, click it to be redirected to the purchase page. If it doesn't, you are unfortunately not eligible.
Please note, where it is determined that a voucher has been obtained by deception, it will be cancelled and no refund will be given.
